Your URLs Matter for Your SEO

If you are trying to drive more people to your website by optimizing for search engines, you’ll want to think about the URLs for your pages – those strings of words and numbers that come after the http://.

We’ve got new resources to help you understand the SEO (search engine optimization) impact of your site’s URLs:

  • Kristina Weis, who’s written many of our SEO articles, has authored a new one, Improve Your URLs for SEO.
  • Our Site Report now checks all the URLs on your site, tells you whether they’re the right length and how to structure them for better SEO.

We announced the new URL feature and the article in our newsletter. If you don’t already get it, you can sign up for it to be notified whenever we add new features to the Site Report and the rest of AboutUs.org, including new SEO and Internet marketing articles.
